Our Practice
Dr. Smith and his team pride themselves in their small and intimate dental office designed for personalized dental services. Our goal is to treat each patient like we would want to be treated ourselves and provide them with better dental health through preventive dentistry, patient education and the highest standards of dental care.
Dr. Smith and his staff always takes the time to completely evaluate and discuss your wishes and needs. We strive to create a great smile framed in a great face, in a patient who feels terrific to be part of our family.
Your comfort during your dental work is our priority. We utilize the most current methods of local anesthesia. For anxious patients nitrous oxide gas, and oral sedative medication are available to make your visit more pleasant.We schedule so that you are seen at your appointment time in a relaxed, unhurried and pleasant atmosphere. However, feel free to arrive early, have some refreshments, peruse our computer assisted patient education materials and talk with us about any aspect of dentistry or facial beauty.

Dr. Gordon Smith attended the University of Michigan College of Engineering from 1978 to 1980 and later graduated University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1984. In 2014 Dr. Smith was awarded the Mastership in 11 phases of dentistry.

Hi, I am Dr. Anna Fetolli and I am an associate dentist here at Facial Beauty Dental. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Michigan State University in 2019, and obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Michigan in 2023.

Jacki Smith
Certified Health Coach & Marketing Consultant
Hello! My name is Jacki Jacoby Smith. I moved here from Atlanta in 2000 when Gordon and I got married. I work at Facial Beauty Dental as an Independent BEMER distributor and as a certified health coach in weight management. Up until 2011, I was a teacher consultant for the Visually Impaired for over 25 years in both Georgia and Michigan. After losing 50 lbs on the OPTAvia program, I knew I had to help others. As an OPTAvia health coach, I have the opportunity to help our patients develop lifelong habits of health, reach a healthy weight, and active lifestyle.
We also help our clients using BEMER vascular therapy to improve sleep, enhance circulation, and increase energy and stamina. I am happy to be part of Gordon’s dental practice at this exciting time of technological advances as well as facial beauty enhancement. Gordon and I have two grown daughters, Melissa and Dana, and five adorable grandchildren, Shai, Ilan, Harrison, Sophie, and Dylan.
When not helping others reach optimal health, I enjoy gardening, knitting, camping, folk and line dancing, traveling, and working out, as well as playing Scrabble and Mah Jongg. My newest hobby is piano and biking.
Sarah Pelkey
Head Assistant
Hello, my name is Sarah and I’m Dr. Smith’s head assistant! I have worked at Facial Beauty Dental for over 10 years. I enjoy coming to work every day and that’s a great feeling.
Working in dentistry has been a great experience because I’m always learning something new from Dr. Smith. Every day is different than the next because of the wide range of procedures done in our office. I love that our patients always receive the knowledge needed to fully understand their treatment options, it’s a great feeling to know your helping to create a healthy beautiful smile for years to come.
Facial Beauty Dental functions as a family from the staff to the patients and we always have each other’s best interests at heart. I take pride in knowing that while treating our patients, I’m helping to educate and reassure them every day.
Outside the office, I love spending time with my husband Joe and our family and friends. Joe and I love biking, fishing and taking our fur babies Remi and Artie for walks in the woods. Being outdoors is what I love most and summer is my favorite time of year. I hope you enjoy our office as much as my family and friends do and know that you’re always welcome at Facial Beauty Dental.

Hi! I’m Sue. I have worked in the dental field since 1997 when I graduated from dental hygiene school. I now work the front desk, concentrating on the ever-changing insurance. My husband, Kevin, and I have two amazing sons and four grandkids which we absolutely adore. When I’m not spending time with family, I love being outdoors, gardening, hiking, camping or reading!
Karen Badynee - Kwolek

Hello, my name is Karen! I am one of the dental hygienists at Facial Beauty Dental. My forte is providing dental care with scientific evidence-based techniques, skills and a little bit of humor is my forte. I am married. We have two children and two grandchildren. Outside of the office, I can be found cheering on my grandson’s latest home-run, canning peaches, or touring Michigan with my husband on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Hello, my name is Karen! I am a Dental Assistant here at our practice. I absolutely love my job and our patients. It is so refreshing to work at a practice that puts patients' needs first. The compassion that Dr. Smith and our entire staff show towards our patients is undeniably the best in the industry!
When I am not at work, I am enjoying my husband Rob, our son's Justin and Hunter and our daughter Haydin. We also enjoy spending time at our cottage on Otsego Lake in Gaylord, Michigan.

Hello! My name is Nichole and I graduated from Wayne County Community College in 2014, becoming a registered dental hygienist! I am the proud mother of 2 beautiful girls and one big ol’ german shepherd. My family and I recently moved to the Wixom/Commerce area, and we are very excited to grow some roots and become part of the community. Barb Ostaszewski

Hello, my name is Barb! I live on Union Lake, with my husband Dave where we enjoy touring the lake by boat and kayak! We enjoy snow skiing in the winter and riding my horse, Promise in the summer. I try to do my physical therapy exercises each day so I can continue being active and enjoying life. We visit our daughter and son-in-law in Cincinnati a couple of times a year. They visit us with her dog in Michigan for the holidays and in the summer.
I missed working with everyone at Facial Beauty Dental and returned for one day a week. I was full-time for 13 years. It is a joy to see patients again! When you have been a dental hygienist for as long as I have, it is hard to give up!
Daniel Kemp

Hello, my name is Daniel! I’m a dental/ hygiene assistant here at Facial Beauty Dental. I am also the Bemer tech in the office as well. The best thing about working with Dr. Smith here at Facial Beauty Dental is that there is always an opportunity to learn something new. I love working with all the great people that come into our office, and I couldn't ask for better co-workers who are more than just good friends but also great family. We are there for each other in the good times and the bad. We have all been together so much, and you can really feel the love.
When I'm not working in the office, I am working with Market Street church to help spread the good news of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I also have two other Jobs working at L'occitane in the mall It's a French skincare company that I am in love with. I also teach young kids how to swim at Aqua-tots.
As you can see, I like to keep myself busy. I am always looking for the Lord's will in my life and my next steps. Thank you and God bless!!!!!!
